Wii Passes 360 in U.S. Sales
July 18th, 2008 News

Nintendo sent out its second text message from E3, this time announcing Wii’s continued dominance in sales, overtaking the Xbox 360 in American units sold. Here’s the text… complete with cute and pointless abbreviations:

“After just 20 mos, Wii is the new console leader in the US @ nearly 10.9 million units, says NPD 2day”

We agree, only 20 mos is an impressive amount of time for a brand new system to overtake an established product like Xbox. However, it’s not like Nintendo’s new to the game.

We’ll have more NPD anaylsis later 2day. Right now though, brb, lol, CU l8r roflcopter.
