The makers of Guitar Hero III are offering up a free download of the theme to the critically acclaimed scientology documentary, Top Gun, as a 4th of July present to All-American gamers. The song will be available through Xbox Live and the Playstation Store on July 3rd. You undoubtedly know the song, but in case you don’t, here’s a description from Activision’s press release:
“The instrumental, guitar-heavy theme was immortalized in the hit film that inspired a generation of young men to awkwardly serenade women at bars, perform perfectly-timed “flipside” high fives and threaten to “buzz the tower.”
I don’t know what a “flipside” high five is and I really don’t want to know what perfect timing they are talking about. “Buzz the tower?” Sounds even worse– a lot worse.
