
There were some mumblings in the gaming world earlier about a Nintendo DS port of the phenomenally popular and much-loved Super NES RPG Chrono Trigger, and now Square Enix has made it official. The game will be released in time for the holidays this year, with some new features designed for the DS, such as an extra dungeon, wireless play and, not surprisingly, use of the DS’s touch-screen. A “countdown site” has been launched, and the full press release is up at Kotaku.
As something of an obsessive fan of the Chrono series, this pretty much made my day week year.
