Another Friday has come to a close (at least for those of us lucky enough to work 9-5…) and thus, another Week-End Podcast Roundup from us here at QPHQ. The onslaught of press events surrounding E3 has clearly begun as we find this week’s podcasts heavily effected by cross country plane rides and NDA’s. The GFW guys are in full form this week, though sadly missing the perpetually quiet yet always well-spoken Ryan Scott while 1UP Yours takes a week off from the usual as Shane and Garnett are both away on “business.” The 1UP Show is equally affected, offering it’s second week of “specials”, this time featuring freelancer Mark MacDonald, Valve Writer Erik Wolpaw, Q-Games President Dylan Cuthbert and Queasy Games’ Jonathan Mak out to dinner, discussing a variety of very interesting subjects ranging from Valve’s hierarchical structure and how it affects game release dates to Dylan Cuthbert’s personal experiences working under Shigeru Miyamoto. What can we say, we like that kinda thing. Joystiq’s usual crew is all mixed up with Justin phoning it in from out of town (literally) and Ludwig taking off early (most likely as his hut was being attacked by lions — these things happen in Africa.) As for us, well, we’re trying to work on GTAIV still. Yup — still. Our early impressions of The Incredible Hulk will be up and ready for your perusal first thing in the a.m. on Monday, so, you know, “hold onto your butts.”
